  14. Salt and pepper to taste
  15. 1 cup white wine
  16. 1/3 cup tomato paste

Instructions to make to make Seafood Chowder

  1. In a large heavy bottomed pot, melt the butter.
  2. Add the carrots, onions, celery, potatoes, corn and tomato paste. Saute over medium low heat for 15 minutes or until the potatoes are barely cooked. Stir occasionally.
  3. Add the flour and reduce the heat to low and cook for 3 minutes. Stir often.
  4. Add the seafood stock (2 quarts) the wine, and about a pint of water to get a total of about 1 gallon liquid. Bring to a boil
  5. Cut the shrimp and scallops into bite size pieces and place in a bowl with the crab meat
  6. Add the seafood and heavy cream. Reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 7 to 10 minutes until the shrimp and scallops are cooked.
